Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Transport and Logistics Industry, seeks to appoint a skilled and experienced Workshop Mechanic. Applicants need to reside in around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Attending to the COF tests of the truck-trailer combination.
- Identifying and attending to all mechanical repairs of the vehicles, including tankerfittings, valves and buttons.
- Identifying and attending to all technical aspects of the vehicles, including the maintenance and pressure tests.
- Attending to and repairing of the tanker or tralier’s electrical components.
- Repairing trucks and tankers according to loading and off-loading points, and the quantity of products stored.
- Positioning and parking vehicles in a neat and proper manner.
- Dropping off vehicles at the respective service providers for repairs and or service.
- Attending to wheel alignment of all vehicles.
- Implementing and conducting routine and regular inspections of all vehicles.
- Attending to the service of all trucks and trailers, where such vehicles are not under warranty.
- Assembling and dissembling trailers, as and when required.
- Verifying and signing off job cards.
- Data capturing.
- Trend analysis.
- Attending to breakdowns.
- On-call services.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate is an advantage.
- At least 5 (Five) years work experience as a Mechanic.
- Must have Own Vehicle.
- Code 14 Drivers Licence with PdP.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- No Criminal Record.
- Must be literate (able to read and write).
- Good Communication skills.
Package & Remuneration
