Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Supply Chain Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. Applicants need to reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervising warehouse staff and their daily activities.
- Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Checking orders, bills, items received and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Performing daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 (Three) years of experience as Warehouse Supervisor.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Must have Warehouse and Retail background experience.
- Preferably have worked in TES environment.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce.
- Confidence to thrive under pressure.
- Own transport is essential.
- No criminal record.
Package & Remuneration
Salary between R10k – R12k per month.
