Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Retail Industry, seeks to employ a Warehouse Receiving Clerk to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Updating inventory records and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Preparing and packaging outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
- Assisting with inventory counts and audits.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Accurately receiving stock from the DC.
- Counting and capturing of invoices on the system.
- Controlling the receiving area, ensuring it is organised, clean and no unauthorised staff in the area.
- Training of the receiving assistant.
- Reporting of equipment failures.
- Sending stock to the floor and checking reports for any outstanding work.
- Receiving and offloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspecting and reportin any damages or discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
- Sorting, labeling, and storing items in designated areas.
- Checking with the store and warehouse responsible to determine if any deliveries are expected for the day.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Package & Remuneration
Market – related salary.
