Introduction
Wage and Payroll Administrator – Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be required to accurately issue wages to assignees, calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
The following duties are expected of a Wage and Payroll Administrator, including but not limited to:
- Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them.
- Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters.
- Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.
- Experience with the management and maintenance of hourly and monthly paid payrolls, as well as weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls.
- Liaise with the Finance Department regarding payment of debtors and creditors.
- Reconciliations as necessary.
- Stock Control and the issue of stock items.
- Completion of reports as required.
- Auditing of Assignee and Client Files.
- All administration relating to the payment of Assignee wages weekly, fortnightly, and monthly.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have Grade 12 (Twelve) with Accounting and Mathematics (essential).
- Must have a Payroll clerk processing experience of not less than 2 (two) years solid data entry skills, an understanding of basic accounting principles, and a strong knowledge of payroll regulations.
- Experience in processing employee payroll in a TES environment.
- Must have a very strong meticulous attention to detail.
- Must have a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Payroll Management, NQF level 3 (Three).
- Minimum of 4 (Four) years in a payroll administration capacity or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements is necessary as well as solid data capturing skills.
- Experience with the management and maintenance of hourly and monthly paid payrolls, as well as weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls.
- Must have a certificate in MS Office Suite.
- Must have 3 (three)+years in a TES experience or Contract Cleaning wages environment ( would be advantageous).
- Must have own transport.
