Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Freight Forwarding Industry, seeks to appoint dedicated Task (or Container De-stuffing) Workers. Applicants need to reside in and around the Paarden Eiland or Woodstock area. You need to be fit as this is a labour-intensive job – the more containers you destuff (unpack), the higher your pay rate will be! So ensure that you are physically fit when applying for this job – you determine your remuneration – the more containers you destuff, the higher your pay rate!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Unpack containers within a timeframe and as instructed.
- Work cooperatively with others, and be an active part of the destuffing Team.
- Pack and wrap pallets set for loading and departure.
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe working environment.
- Greet all staff and Clients Employees and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must be physically fit as the work entails heavy lifting for long periods.
- Must be prepared to stand and work for long hours.
- Must have at least Grade 10 (Ten).
- Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
- Proficiently read, write, speak, interpret, and understand English.
- Must be able to work all assigned shifts and comply with time and attendance schedules.
