Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Food Service and Distribution Industry, is seeking to hire a Sales Manager to join their team in New Germany (Durban, KZN).
The suitable candidate will:
- Be responsible for supervising and organizing the sales team.
- Be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans and meeting planned goals
- Be responsible for coordinating while overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating ongoing sales training.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls
- Meeting planned sales goals
- Setting individual sales targets with the sales team
- Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation
- The ongoing training of your salespeople
- Developing your sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
- Promoting the organization and products
- Understand customers and how they relate to products
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field is required
- 10 (Ten) years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, Food Service and hospitality industry
- Must have experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Experience managing and directing a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead a sales team to meet quotas
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
- No Criminal record
Package & Remuneration
R20 000 per month plus incentives
