Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Manufacturing Industry, seeks to employ a Production Line Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
The successful candidate will oversee the efficient operation of the production line, ensuring quality standards are met, productivity targets are achieved, and safety protocols are followed. They will lead and motivate a team of production workers, monitor equipment performance, and collaborate with other departments to optimize processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly manage and lead production line staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and output targets.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and promptly address any technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the inventory control department to maintain accurate inventory levels and prevent shortages.
- Identify areas for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Enhance staff skills, knowledge, and adherence to procedures.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output and any issues or concerns, for management review.
- Foster open communication channels between production line staff and other departments to facilitate coordination and problem-solving.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment with at least 2 (Two) years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Package & Remuneration
Market-related salary of R6000 – R8000 per month.
