Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Logistics Industry, seeks to employ a Mechanic to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
- Assess vehicles accurately and diagnose repair issues.
- Provide routine inspections.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes and engine tune-ups.
- Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired.
- Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers.
- Inspect vehicles on daily basis.
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical and or electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Professional experience as a Mechanic.
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.
- Ability to work with your hands.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics principles.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work to agreed deadlines and timeframes.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
