Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Freight and Logistics Industry, is seeking to appoint an Inventory Counter on a fixed-term contract to join their dynamic team in Durban. The individual will be required to perform cycle counts, customer stock counts, and correct stock (among others) to ensure the physical stock matches the system stock. May be required to work weekends, and occasionally, extended hours into night shift.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Must be able to work independently and carry out day-to-day tasks as allocated by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Check physical stock against a checklist.
- Maintain a high level of inventory record accuracy.
- Identify inconsistencies during day-to-day counts.
- Will be required to repalletize pallets and clean stock when requested.
- Will be required to pick if necessary.
- Required to count with customers in the warehouse.
- Will be required to rotate between 2 (Two) shifts: 06:30 – 16:00 and 07:30 – 17:00.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Work under minimum supervision.
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Read, write and communicate in English.
- Active and able to carry stock items of 25 (Twenty-five) kg and less.
- Must be medically fit to work at heights.
Package & Remuneration
R9 000 per month.
