Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the FMCG industry, is urgently looking for High Level Picker to join their team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. Applicants must reside in and around Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Packing incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
- Keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Picking orders as requested by management.
- Sealing and tagging containers, confirming the accuracy of orders.
- Placing containers on pallets, and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
- Loading and unloading trucks by using jacks and forklifts.
- Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Process work order pick lists.
- Safely operate a forklift or pallet jack.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and tracking procedures are always followed.
- Transport merchandise from the stock room to the delivery platform.
- Handles and operates mechanized equipment (e.g. power jack, hi-lo) to effectively and efficiently process orders.
- Maintains a neat and orderly workplace at all times, which includes moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of litter.
- Keep records of completed orders.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Previous work-related experience as a high-level picker will be advantageous.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to count accurately.
- Must have effective attention to detail.
- Must be able to remember product locations on warehouse shelves.
- Must be able to operate pallet jack or forklift.
- Must be well organised.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Maintain a strong attendance record.
- No criminal record.
- Reliable transportation.
