Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Manufacturing Industry, seeks to employ a Food Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be responsible for minimizing manufacturing waste and maximizing productivity.
- Develop and maintain audit schedules to ensure all suppliers are evaluated to timescales according to designated risk status.
- Lead and facilitate customer inspection of the product and facilities.
- Develop production schedules to meet demand while considering factors such as raw material availability, equipment capacity, and workforce capabilities.
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure that food products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Oversee and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain an efficient supply chain.
- Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns.
- Always be informed about compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Proven experience in a Food Processing environment with at least 2 (Two) years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety laws and regulations and ability to implement safety protocols.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure.
