Introduction
A successful, growing business within the Food and Retail Sector, is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful incumbent is required to manage the full Finance function and Finance team effectively.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Forecast and manage cash flows.
- Preparation of management accounts and timeous submission of reports to the CEO.
- Regular analysis and review of financials including sales, expenses, and stock variances.
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities, as well as ways to reduce financial risk within the business.
- Manage the Creditors function and petty cash effectively.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and internal controls.
- Draft annual budgets.
- Have a good understanding of profit margins.
- Advise the CEO on the feasibility of expansion projects.
- Accurate record and control of company assets.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of VAT and taxation.
- Assist with audits.
- Reviewing of Monthly payroll.
- Maintaining company compliance status in all statutory departments.
Desired Experience and Qualification
- BCom qualification with articles. A post-graduate or CA qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant Financial and Management experience, preferably more than 10 (Ten) years.
- Proficiency in Pastel or similar, as well as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to scrutinize and work with large amounts of data.
- A good understand of systems and controls.
- A vehicle and willingness to travel.
- A dynamic, proactive, trustworthy, and hardworking individual.
Package and Remuneration
- Between R30 000 and R45 000 per month (depending on qualifications and experience).
- Travel allowance.
