Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality Industry, has a vacancy available for an Electrician in Tshwane, Gauteng.
Duties & Responsibilities
The main purpose of the position is the general upkeep of a building’s electrical system by conducting regular inspections of the premises, doing routine maintenance, repairs to faulty wiring when necessary, and replacement of electrical appliances in the building.
- Routine inspection of electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures and appliances.
- Identify faults or hazards.
- Troubleshoot system failures.
- Review blueprints to understand wiring placement.
- Test electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on old or faulty fixtures.
- Respond to fault requests.
- Provide suggestions for equipment replacement.
- Write electrical maintenance reports.
- Install new electrical appliances in the building.
- Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve) certificate (essential).
- Official electrical qualification (essential).
- Trade Test (desirable).
- Minimum 2 (Two) years of experience in Plumbing (essential).
- Minimum 1 (One) year of experience in a hotel environment (desirable).
- Working knowledge of and skilled in the following: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, General Handyman.
- Knowledge of issuing of Electrical Certificates of Compliance.
- Bilingual with good communication skills.
- Guest-orientated: Meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of the guests.
