Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the FMCG Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Diesel Mechanic. Applicants need to reside in and around the Cape Town area only.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.
- Repairing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other parts.
- Completing oil changes, wheel-balancing, alignment and brake checks.
- Maintaining records of parts and serviced vehicles.
- Checking vehicle lighting systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
- Repairing or replacing engines and transmissions.
- Always keep the shop tidy and organized..
- Analysing problems with engines.
- Carrying out routine service on the engine, such as oil and filter changes.
- Conducting performance tests on vehicle fleets.
- Preparing and updating records on service work conducted on engines.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential .
- At least 3 (Three) years of experience as a Deisel Mechanic.
- Code 10 license with valid PDP.
- Must be literate (able to read and write).
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must have own reliable transport.
- No Criminal Record.
