Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Fast Food Franchise industry, is looking to fill the role of a Creditors Clerk or Bookkeeper.
This position is based at KwaDukuza. Applicants must be available to start immediately.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive all invoices or credit notes from creditors
- Confirm the validity of the tax invoices or credit notes, ensure that they have been duly approved
- Reconciliation of vendor invoices and statements
- Prepare payment requisitions, payment allocations and reconcile creditors accounts
- Set invoices up for payment and payment of creditors
- Ensure that allocations are done correctly to the GL account
- Create new vendors on the Xero system in accordance with the information received
- Perform an age analysis on all vendor accounts on a basis throughout the month in order to establish that payments are made timeously
- Ensure all vendor invoices are signed by an authorized person and coded according to the approved coding system
- Attend to all creditors queries by liaising with suppliers
- Implement financial controls for creditors department as directed by company policy
- Monitor financial control to ensure compliance
- Document control and management
- Enter and upload invoices into the system
- Track expenses and process expense reports
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy and sent on time
- Produce weekly and Monthly Supplier Age Analysis
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
- 3 (Three) years qualification in Finance
- Minimum of 3 (Three) to 5 (Five) years work experience on a similar role
- Xero system – will be an added advantage
- Strong Sales to Banking Reckon experience – will be an added advantage
- Have sound organizational and accuracy skills
- Bookkeeping principles
- Attentive to detail and can handle pressure
- Meeting all deadlines
- Can communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team
- Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment
