Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality industry is looking to fill a position of a Chef de Partie.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within the specialty section.
- Maintain control of stocks in the area of responsibility.
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices.
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.
- Ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
- Ensure that all dishes are correctly garnished, have the correct portion and size, and are presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner.
- Managing and training any Commis Chefs.
- Monitoring portion and waste control.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate.
- Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality.
- Preferably 3 (Three) or more years previous experience as a Chef De Partie.
- Knowledge and ability to run a section.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to produce good quality food in all sections Good oral communication.
- Team management skills.
- Own transport.
- No Criminal record.
