Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality and Catering Industry, seeks to employ a Catering Manager to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhering to food and healthy industry regulations and standards.
- Overseeing food preparation and customer service.
- Overseeing seating arrangements, serving of meals, beverages, and the clearing of tables.
- Planning menus and overseeing the venue, equipment, food and service preparations.
- Monitoring the availability of catering stock, supplies and ordering replenishments.
- Training and managing kitchen staff personnel.
- Liaising with customers, sales staff, chefs and specialized catering equipment providers.
- Managing stock and placing orders as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Arranging food tastings with potential customers.
- Hiring, training and supervising catering staff.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Minimum of 3 (Three) years of management experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 1 (One) year experience in the Catering and Hospitality Industry.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Exceptional customer service management skills.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Clear criminal record.
