Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Canteen Supervisor. Applicants need to reside in and around the Tokai or Retreat area only.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify stock requirements and place orders as required.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of meals to ensure excellent service delivery standards are maintained.
- Participate in regular stock take, recording, and reporting processes.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the canteen and associated catering operations, including orders, receipt of stock, and associated documentation.
- Deliver quality service to customers.
- Ensure food storage and handling is appropriate.
- Oversee and supervise canteen staff.
- Oversee cash handling and related security processes.
- Operate cash register, collect monies and balance funds at the end of the day.
- Ensure and maintain hygiene of the premises.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Must have 2 (Two) to 3 (Three) years of experience as a Supervisor.
- Must have 1(one) year food experience, i.e., worked as a Supervisor, Chef or Cook, and prepared food in a restaurant or canteen.
- Must be computer literate.
- Able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good contactable references.
- Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Exceptional customer service and supervisory skills.
- Clear criminal record.
