Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Catering and Hospitality Industry, seeks to employ a Canteen Manager to join their dynamic team. Applicants need to reside in and around the Cape Town area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the profitable management and operation of the site canteen by the Company’s Policies and Procedures. The successful candidate will be able to readily associate and assimilate with and within the Company’s culture and various brands, show leadership skills and temperament that creates an environment of service and product excellence and develop strong relationships within the Company and with our Client.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe working environment by the Health Safety Act.
- Daily management and operation of the canteen.
- Managing the canteen staff.
- Managing stock levels of the canteen and timely ordering of stock.
- Managing catering for functions when required.
- Preparing and cooking food.
- General cleaning and maintaining a hygienic kitchen.
- Serving customers, staff, and students.
- Maintaining and balancing financial transactions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Minimum of 3 (Three) years management experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 1 (One) year experience in the Catering and Hospitality Industry.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Can adapt to changing work environments.
- Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

- Must be available to start immediately.

Package & Remuneration
R15 000 per month.
