Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is recruiting for a Bending Machine Setter to join their team in Bellville South, Cape Town.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Improve current drawings and update new revisions.
- Model parts and complete products for new designs.
- Draft new drawings on new projects.
- Set up cutting lists and BOM for new products.
- Work according to the production schedule.
- Check nesting for laser cutting and improve material utilization.
- Report all shortages of parts on nesting to the Production Director.
- Draft bakery layouts as per instructions.
- Control drawing revisions and filling drawings per product.
- Measure parts and make drawings as needed when products are changed or new equipment.
- Assist with BOM updates.
- Supervise the staff and control productivity.
- Check incoming parts from laser cutting companies.
- Apply drawing changes to improve part retrofit.
- Assist with stock on the last Saturday of the month.
- Count products, equipment assets, production tools, raw materials, and WIP.
- Count raw material stock/sheet metal and estimate usage needed per cutting list.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) or N6/T3 Engineering qualification.
- Must have at least 5 (Five) years of experience.
- Be able to program and operate the bending machines using bending software.
- Nesting on laser cutting experience.
- CNC Sheet Metal Bending Programming Training.
- Solid works drawings Draughtsman.
- Must have own transport.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have strong management skills.
- Must be good in timekeeping.
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Must have own transport (essential).
- No criminal record.
