Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Barista, to report to the Supervisor and Site Manager. Applicants need to reside in and around the Tokai or Retreat area only.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve a variety of food and beverages.
- Prepare basic meals and promote coffee consumption.
- Welcome customers and inform them about specials or new items.
- Prepare meals such as sandwiches or baked goods.
- Grind and blend coffee beans, and brew coffee and tea.
- Sell coffee and tea blends, brewing equipment, and highlight the differences between items.
- Educate customers about brewing methods.
- Clean and restock work and dining areas by emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Update signage and displays to attract customers.
- Take inventory and replenish items in display cases at tables or behind the counter.
- Work as part of a fun, high-energy team.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Previous Barista experience (Essential).
- Must be Computer Literate.
- Experience in running operations independently.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if required.
- Good knowledge of coffee beverages.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation.
- Ability to work with cash.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
