Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Retail Industry, is looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Manager on a 4 (Four) month fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal or becoming permanent. This position is based in Durban Cornubia. Applicants must be available to start immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review of bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Reviewing of service level agreements with stock and trade suppliers
- Completion and posting of month-end journals
- Reviewing of monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Review of stock and trade creditors reconciliations
- Liaising with auditors and providing the auditors with schedules
- Assisting with the completion and submission of VAT201 returns on a monthly basis
- Ensuring that all intercompany loans are balanced
- Completion of information pertaining to guarantees
- Completion of fixed asset registers
- Review of the timesheets for the month and authorization of leave forms
- Reviewing of all insurance documentation (insurance claim forms and AOL)
- General administrative tasks
- Management of staff in the finance department
- Management of cash flow and submission of cash flow reports to the directors on a daily basis
Desired Experience and Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the financial field
- Experience with AccPac is an added advantage
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
- Excellent computer skills with advanced Excel
- No Criminal Record
Package and Remuneration
R20 000 per month.
