Introduction
Our Client,a leader in the manufacturing industry, is recruiting for an Assembler to join their team in Bellville South, Cape Town. Applicants need to reside in around Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.
- Read, decipher and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Conduct quality control checks.
- Maintain and service equipment, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and ensure quality control.
- Use tools to manufacture or repair parts and products.
- Keep a clean and tidy workspace.
- Meet all safety requirements of the company according to industry.
- Identify any defective items according to established procedures.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Maintain supply inventory, record actions on production forms, and communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Fitter/Millwright Artisan qualification.
- At least 5 (five) years experience of working in a factory environment.
- Skilled in mechanics.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery.
- No criminal record.
