METAL INDUSTRIES STRIKE: POSSIBLY 5 OCTOBER 2021
The Metal Industries Bargaining Council has issued a certificate of non-resolution confirming that the dispute declared by NUMSA remains unresolved.
SEIFSA has stated that the decision was taken by the NUMSA National Shop Stewards Council and a Special National Executive Committee (NEC) that strike action will commence on 5 October 2021.
Strike and picketing rules have not yet been finalised. Once they are finalised and issued, NUMSA will have to formally give 48 (Forty-eight) hours’ notice of intention to strike.
