Today would, normally, be the increase date for scheduled employees in the Metal and Engineering Industries.
But (COVID-19) has made sure that normal is no longer to be expected.
SEIFSA issued a statement yesterday that it preferred that the current Main Agreement, which terminated yesterday, remain in force, and that wage negotiations be postponed to 2021.
There is no mention of any increases due today.
The MEIBC ManCo is meeting on 06 July 2020, to consider proposals for negotiations.
