Introduction
One of our Clients, a leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervising staff to produce manufactured products, and organizing and monitoring workflow.
- Accomplishing manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Recruiting, selecting, onboarding, training, and mentoring of employees.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
- Ensuring the operation of equipment by calling for repairs.
- Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, and sorting production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolving personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Checking production output according to specifications.
- Training new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
- Submitting reports on performance and progress.
- Managing production outputs.
- Co-ordinating, planning, and organizing the manufacturing processes of the company.
- Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and deadlines.
- Managing the output of the factory to ensure schedules and targets are met.
- Exercising prudent control over operational teams.
- Continually monitoring GMP compliance and immediately address any shortcomings.
- Ensuring that all standard yields are maintained by production lines.
- Controlling the production process and production facilities.
- Ensuring continuous monitoring of production machinery and reports, and ensuring maintenance requirements for all equipment are met,
- Ensuring that there is discipline and good working culture among the employees.
- Maintaining a high level of safety within the factory environment.
- Demonstrating adaptability in troubleshooting production challenges and facilitating effective resolutions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the food manufacturing industry, controlling, and managing production lines and teams.
- Knowledge of ISO22000, HACCP food safety.
- Experience with equipment, process flow, and line commissioning and capacity to convert requirements to achievable output.
- Excellent motivational and management skills.
- Passionate to develop staff to their full potential.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- No criminal record.
Package & Remuneration
R15 000 – R17 000.
