Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Catering and Hospitality Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Barista / Cashier / FSA (Food Service Attendant) to join their dynamic team. Applicants need to reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the coffee machine and associated actions to produce hot beverages.
- Operate smoothie dispensers and associated actions to produce cold drinks.
- Operate oven and associated actions to produce baked goods or warmed sandwiches.
- Prepare sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads, soft drinks, etc.
- Operate till and act as Cashier.
- Clean and maintain food quality standards.
- Maintain auditable paper trails for all audit requirements.
- Cleaning and maintenance of all machines in store.
- Serving customers.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving when customer problems arise.
- Restock the cafe as per requirements.
- Process food orders from customers.
- Serve customers in a counter or buffet-style setting.
- Ensure that items are served at correct temperatures and in the proper plate presentation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve) certificate.
- At least 3 (Three) years of experience in a similar position.
- Retail experience is a must.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- No criminal record.
