Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Supply Chain Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor (Temporary Employment Services). Applicants need to reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Handle emergencies appropriately and according to established procedures.
- Prepare and file accident reports (IODs).
- Maintain site safety and security.
- Supervise and evaluate staff.
- Complete employee reviews and maintain accurate records of employee attendance and
- timesheets.
- Ensure that contracted sites operate in accordance with the set agreement as stated in the Service Level Agreement, specifically in terms of the service provided, levels of staff, disciplinary matters, and the payroll function.
- Provide positive direction to motivate quality performance and also discipline personnel when it is necessary and appropriate.
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Minimum of 3 (Three) to 5 (Five) years of experience as a Site Supervisor in the warehouse industry.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of technical documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level attention to detail.
- MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook proficiency.
- Proven leadership skills with a large and diverse workforce.
- Ability to nurture effective professional relationships with staff and clients.
- Knowledge of all production equipment.
- Code 8 (Eight) driver’s license with reliable transport.
- No criminal record.
